These pump housings and mounting brackets are made of cast aluminum or bronze alloy. The rotor is made of stainless steel with a hard chrome plate to improve the wear properties. The stator is manufactured from molded Nitrile. The mechanical seal is a carbon and ceramic mechanical rotating face type for a positive seal.

Rotation of the helical-shaped rotor in the fixed stator creates a progressive cavity similar to a movable piston. Liquid is thus displaced to generate a pumping action. Unlike pumping piston, very high pressure can not be created because the stator is made of nitrile and is flexible. Due to this flexibility contaminated liquids can be handled. High starting torque motors are recommended to overcome the high starting friction of the stator. The pump is relatively quiet.

FUNCTIONALITIES

  • All Bronze or corrosion Strong aluminum construction
  • Easily mounted in the field to your own 56 Frame
  • Motor & 56C For potentially explosive atmospheres Motors
  • Carbon Mechanical Seal Face
  • Quiet operation
  • May treat contaminated liquids
  • Nitrile Stator and Stainless Steel Rotor

LIQUIDS & TEMPERATURE

The corrosion resistant alloys used are compatible with common solvents such as water, aqueous solutions, oils and many commercial chemicals. Severe solvents are not compatible with nitrile and should not be pumped.

ASPIRATION LIFT

These centrifugal pumps are not self priming. They must be installed below the liquid level so that the liquid flows to the pump by gravity (submerged suction). However, if a foot valve is used at the beginning of the suction line, and all air is discharged from the pump by manual priming, the pump will lift up on the suction side up to 15 feet. Such a system relies entirely on the non-leaked foot valve for starting up capacity.
